We ask new members who are taxpayers to tick the Gift Aid Declaration on the application form so that the Society can claim back basic rate tax from HM Revenue and Customs.  

The annual subscription is £45.  This covers attendance at the nine lectures and gives you access to other benefits such as Special Interest Days, cultural trips within the UK and abroad, social events, and volunteering opportunities.  You will also receive monthly newsletters and the quarterly Arts Society Journal. If you join part way through the year a pro rata subscription is payable.

If you would like to sample one of our lectures before joining, you would be most welcome.  We ask only for a £5 donation. Or you may like to come with a member.  Again, we request a £5 donation from visiting guests. We are happy for each of our members to bring guests, but no individual guest more than three times.
