TAS provides children and young people with exciting opportunities to get involved in creative arts activities.  Our work with young people builds a lasting enthusiasm for the arts and an awareness of arts heritage and its conservation.  Young Arts opportunities are organised by individual Societies.  Some Societies have on-going Young Arts Groups while others fund one-off Young Arts Projects.

Young Arts Groups

Young Arts Groups are Society based.  Volunteers organise regular arts related activities for members aged 8-18.  Young Arts Groups usually meet about once a month and a typical programme might include practical, creative workshops and gallery visits.

TASNWN Young Arts Projects

At present TASNWN have two committee members who job-share the highly enjoyable work of introducing children and young students to fine art and the decorative arts.  They identify and then liaise with local schools and colleges who would welcome extra funding. Projects have been as varied as funding a clock, designed by the pupils, to mark Sedgeford School’s 175th anniversary  through to sponsoring trips to art exhibitions which  students would otherwise be unable to visit.  In the pipeline for 2015/16 we have three local schools making art installations for the new Tapping House hospice.
